Creating inclusive, accessible spaces, working towards a sustainable future, and analyzing the effects of every design
abigail way.
My Goals
Throughout my studies, I have focused on research and design, looking at ways that bus rapid transit and mixed-use developments affect cities and their citizens, creatively rethinking about past development projects, and developing my creative skills with landscape designs and drawing. For my future career, I aim to use these analytical skills to ensure the designs I create are effective, sustainable, and beneficial for more than just the design's primary function.

Portfolio Overview
Research
Throughout my Environmental Design courses, developing research skills has been a main focus. Below are three notable projects, ranging from independent research on bus rapid transit to a creative rethinking of Pruitt-Igoe.
01
OKC Bus Rapid Transit
An independent research project on Oklahoma City's new RAPID Northwest Line. With this bus rapid transit system, a transformation in the connectivity of the city is possible.
02
Mosaic District Report
As a case study of the Mosaic District development, this research offers insight into the background and effects on the community and larger Washington, D.C. area.
03
Pruitt-Igoe Rethinking
Creatively representing the actual story of Pruitt-Igoe, this project highlights how economic, political, and social factors overlapped to cause the project's demolition.
